The Traffic Lab is a unique applied research facility at the University of Utah. It is supervised by faculty
& staffed by graduate students, mostly from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.


Korean Scholars Visited Utah Traffic Lab

Dr. Keechoo Choi from Ajou University and Dr. Seonha Lee from Kongju University visited Traffic Lab on June 27, 2017. We hosted a seminar to present and exchange research results on big data, public transit, and traffic simulations.

Utah Traffic Lab Members to Start New Career

May 2017 marks the formal ending of student life for three of our Utah Traffic Lab members. Anusha Musunuru will start her engineer position with Kittelson & Associates, Inc. Mingde Lin will become an entry-level engineer with HW Lochner at the Salt Lake City office. Congratulations to Anusha and Mingde! We wish you all the best in your new career!

Dr. Liu is Awarded Outstanding
Educator by ITE Western District

Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Western District awarded Dr. Cathy Liu the Outstanding Educator Award at its 2017 Annual Meeting in San Diego on June 20th, 2017. The ITE Western District Outstanding Educator Award recognizes one educator every year who has shown extraordinary creativity in teaching, taken exceptional measures to spark student interest in the transportation profession, provided unwavering encouragement for student endeavors or shown unequaled service to ITE.
